Other tasks & projects
Beside the external projects and training & education there are some other tasks and projects that I carry out.
HagaZiekenhuis | June 2016 till now
Manager (DTAP) Development, Testing, Accepting, Production procedure - content-updateAt the HagaZiekenhuis several EPR's were implemented. After the go live, montly content-updates are performed. Because all the EPR's were already in use, a simple transfer from ChipSoft to the HagaZiekenhuis production environment was out of the question. A transfer of EPR content from ChipSoft to the acceptation environment was executed by using the DTAP (development, testing, acceptance, production procedure). During acceptance testing intensive second line support was provided to solve problems that occurred due to the content-update. In case of accepting the content-update, HagaZiekenhuis installs the same content-update on the production environment. This procedure repeats itself every month.
Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis | June 2016 till now
Manager (DTAP) Development, Testing, Accepting, Production procedure - content-updateAt the Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis several EPR's were implemented. After the go live, montly content-updates are performed. Because all the EPR's were already in use, a simple transfer from ChipSoft to the Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis production environment was out of the question. A transfer of EPR content from ChipSoft to the acceptation environment was executed by using the DTAP (development, testing, acceptance, production procedure). During acceptance testing intensive second line support was provided to solve problems that occurred due to the content-update. In case of accepting the content-update, Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis installs the same content-update on the production environment. This procedure repeats itself every month.

Rijnstate | August 2013
Lead consultant (DTAP) Development, Testing, Accepting, Production procedure - content-updateAt the time that two content-updates were executed, Rijnstate visited Amsterdam to discuss the procedure. Problems with the content-updates were discussed and future vision of ChipSoft about content-updates was discussed. It was decided to postpone future content-updates until the procedure is more stable.
Rijnstate | April 2013
Lead consultant (DTAP) Development, Testing, Accepting, Production procedure - content-updateAt Rijnstate EPR's of oncology and gastro-entrology were implemented after several months of go live a content-update of the two EPR's was executed. Because all two EPR's were already in use, a simple transfer from ChipSoft to the Rijnstate production environment was out of the question. A transfer of EPR content from ChipSoft to the acceptation environment was executed by using the DTAP (development, testing, acceptance, production procedure). LUMC | September - December 2012
Lead consultant (DTAP) Development, Testing, Accepting, Production procedureIn a hospital several software environments are used: development environment for developing new features, test environment for testing new features, acceptation environment for accepting new features by end users, a production environment that is used to store real-time data produced in the healthcare setting. These new features are transferred manually to each environment, this is labour intensive and in each transfer errors can be made. Together with the LUMC efforts were made to computerize the step from acceptation environment to the production environment. Unfortunately the project was cancelled due to conflicting internal priorities at the LUMC and ChipSoft. This project may be continued at a later stage.
Lievensberg Ziekenhuis | September 2013
Lead consultant (Consultancy) Oncology suiteDuring the implementation of the oncology EPR oncologists visited ChipSoft to discuss the important work processes regarding cytostatics. The goal was to innovate the oncology, cytostatics and day treatments as a whole. Due to the complex processes it is needed to continuously evaluate the best-practice and improve where appropriate. In the end it should be even a more integrated EPR suite, in which the EPR, cytostatics and day treatments are even better documented and easily accessible. The end user should see at a glance the treatment plan of the patient and see what's to come and see what has been done.

AMC | November 2012
Lead consultant (Consultancy) Medical Informatics SymposiumThe Health Informatics Symposium offers students of this study to meet companies in the IT healthcare sector. During this symposium students could ask us anything about working at ChipSoft. Also demonstrations of the software were given to give an impression of the best-practice EPR.
UMC Utrecht | August 2012
Lead consultant (Consultancy) Consultancy to solve problems regarding contextSeveral supportcalls were submitted by the LUMC. These supportcalls reported problems with context, wrong information was presented in the EPR of another patient, or healthcare professionals thought they had selected patient A and the EPR showed patient B. All the problems were investigated on site and software fixes were rapidly developed and released to fix the problems. Also end user instructions were given in an effort to eliminate these kind of problems. Although the UMCU had the same EPR's, problems were not reported so working methods of the LUMC were also investigated and some were tweaked.
LUMC | August 2012
Lead consultant (Consultancy) Consultancy to solve problems regarding contextDue to the supportcalls of the LUMC regarding problems with context (wrong information was presented in the EPR of another patient, or healthcare professionals thought they had selected patient A and the EPR showed patient B) the UMCU was also visited. All the problems were investigated on site and it was determined that the problems reported by the LUMC were not applicable to the UMCU. After investigation of working methods it was concluded that both hospitals worked slightly different with regard to EPR's.
Lievensberg Ziekenhuis | March 2012
Lead consultant (Consultancy) Consultancy about EPR's, forms and (DTAP) Development, Testing, Accepting, Production procedureDuring the implementation of the hospital-wide EPR Lievensberg had some questions about the techniques that are used to transfer the content and the consequences for EPR maintenance. We explained the do's and don'ts and impact of changes made by Lievensberg regarding to the best-practice EPR. The guidelines for EPR development and form development were also discussed.
Slingeland Ziekenhuis | January 2012
Lead consultant (Consultancy) Consultancy about EPR's and formsSlingeland had developed their own EPR's and forms to facilitate healthcare professionals, however the complexity was growing exponentially. We gave information about how we solved the problems in the best-practice Slingeland was facing. Also some tips and tricks were given to reduce the complexity of the EPR's and forms.
